Okay, so I didn't realize how much time has passed. I think I'm legit going to set a reminder for here, because I genuinely don't want to lose this or you (whoever is still hanging in here! Thank you!)
My last post was about the medication bumps in the road. It took a bit of time and tweaking, but everything has settled down quite well. I'm feeling good, being productive, starting and finishing some projects around the house. I'm writing, which is always a barometer of my mental health. Also physically well, although the struggle to lose weight continues, largely unsuccessfully at this point. I'm not giving up.
It's fully spring here in New England, and I look outside my living/dining room window to see trees in their pretty new greenery. Today is sunny, blue skies, supposed to hit the mid-to upper sixties. The downside of spring is a higher instance of migraines, sadly, as there is a lot of weather fluctuation and rain, which is a big trigger for me. Happily, my rizatriptan can usually shut it down, but the frequency is still enervating and annoying. It will pass though.
My son has turned 18 and is feeling his quasi-adulthood. No more can I suggest anything without being thought that I am 'over-parenting' him. Sigh. It's hard to go from being responsible for his well-being to hand-offs, but I'm working on it. He's in his final months of high school, and if he doesn't do anything ridiculous, he'll graduate on June. He's looking at a gap year of working and life, which I partly can see because he spent half of his junior year and all of his senior year remote-schooling and without much of a social life. I do hope he'll at least take a class or 2 at the local community college, but refer above about me saying anything.
I'm in the middle of e house re-fi - the appraiser just came out the other day, so we are waiting on that. Other than that, we're approved, so of course I am worrying about it. A big plus in our favor is the housing market here is quite high. We're also waiting for a quote from a lawn care/landscaper company we've used for tree removal in the past to do some work. We have a big pile of stone waiting to be put around the pool, some pavers to connect said pool ladder to the patio, and move our fire pit, along with a bunch of brush/stump removal tidying stuff.
I'm working on my big bang - currently at 23K, but I have a lot of meat needed still to flesh it out. Artist claims are not until the 23rd, and then I'd still have a good 3-4 weeks, but I've lost a lot of days where I haven't been able to write (life, adulting, etc.).
So there we are for now!
