Apr. 6th, 2015 12:48 amWhen I was fifteen, I learned to live alone with my mother. Just her, me, and the alcohol.
When I went away to college ai 17, l was only responsible for myself, and it was amazing.
When I went home for spring break my sophomore year at 19, I told her she was an alcoholic and that I would help her any way I could. She was furious and denied it.
The next time I went home was a year later to move out.
My mother died when I was 21 and she was 50. I had graduated college and was living in my own apartment.
Now I'm 55, five years older than my mother made it to. My daughter is 20, one year younger than when I list my mother.
Seriously, even with some of the ups and down I have experienced? She has no idea how good she has it. None.
