what time is it?

okay, life swamped me a bit. Those of you on twitter may have seen some of this happen in real time.
Had eye surgery on left eye done. Everything has now healed, and that eye is in great shape. They were unable to use a multifocal lens because my eye is so freakishly elongated, so it is a single focus lens that is set for reading.
The new news is my right eye's cataract was discovered to be ready for surgery when I went for my 4 week post-op for the left eye! Yay!!! So on 9/21 I am again having surgery, for the removal of that cataract and artificial lens insertion. This time, they ARE able to use a multifocal lens, so I will see everywhere. In fact, it's a new lens to my area, and therefore I get it free! (saves me $1000). I'm very excited to be able to have it done so quickly, and while I am still in the whole 10 eye drops a day/various restrictions mode. just get'r done!!!
Otherwise, we continue to hunker down. Mike is still working from home. Ethan's school has started, and he is doing distance learning. What students are attending in person are going on a hybrid schedule - 2 days in school, 3 days out. As the first week ends, I already know half a dozen students switching to distance instead.
I haven not been sewing since the first surgery. AM hoping to maybe squeeze out a mask batch before the 21, but we'll see.
I did finish my SPN Eldritch bang and it's waiting for posting in october. The art is by
phoenix1966 and it is AMAYYZING. Stay tuned.
I went back 100 posts. I'm so sorry for being negligent, but i did have a couple of weeks at least where reading was kinda dodgy. This time, i have a good eye already, so hopefully it won;t be so bad.
Would you like my tweets to be posted here? Please let me know, id' be happy to flip that switch!
love and hugs, y'all
